Ongoing Classes

Students may sign up for a semester of classes, which consists of one three-hour class per week for nine weeks.  Classes are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday in specific time slots.  Students choose which time slot they prefer for the semester, and attend on that specific day and time for nine weeks.

We do not offer drop-in attendance.  Students must register for an entire semester. 

Click on the links below for a registration form with complete times and dates.  To register, please print out and complete the form, and return it to the studio along with your check for tuition and lab fee.  Payment can be made by check or cash, we are unable to accept credit card payments.

Upcoming Workshops

In addition to ongoing semester classes, Terri McCarthy Studios offers Master Class Workshops that enable students to explore one area of expertise at a time. Etching with Terri McCarthy  

February 24-25, 2012

2 Days to learn etching with electric current to produce crisp results using electrolytes.

We will be using crisp black and white graphics to place the resists onto your metal for etching.

Jeanette Payne   Anodizing Reactive Metal   

  March 24, 2012

In this workshop students will learn to add vivid jewel tone colors to niobium and titanium through demonstration and hands on work. Participants will prepare malleable niobium for anodizing by shaping it into jewelry parts with hammers, punches, drills, platers tape, sandpaper, and polishing wheels. Then we will bring these parts to iife with color through anodic painting and bathing.
